Mother Tongue as a medium of instruction 

Language is one of the most important reason behind the improvement of human civilisation. Or you can say it the most important. From positive to negative all the aspects of current human civilisation is somehow connected to language.

Every country in the world have their one or more than one language. In India we have hundreds of language with thousands, of it's dialects, and accents.

Language as medium of instruction:-

Language also play vital role in giving education. Different countries uses different language as medium of instruction in school and colleges. Some use their native language that is mother tongue of student while other using foreign language like English.

Importance of mother tongue as medium of eduction:-

In primary education, native mother language as a medium of instruction is very important. Education in foreign language often confuse most of the students. Instead of understanding concepts and theories and thinking about its applications, students got stuck in mugging up things. Education in own native language enhance critical and unique thinking. Students find it comfortable to understand concepts in their own languages, hence they can think about unique aspects of those concepts. 

It's importance for country's growth.

As we know education plays an important role in country's growth. An educated population support and enhance growth and development for their nation by doing researches and discoveries.

As education in mother tongue enhance critical thinking and invention approach, it's often seen that countries who give education in their native language are doing better in most of the parameters.

All of the countries listed in the graph provide education in their native language. For instance Mexico primarily provides education in Spanish. While English is taught as a second language in many schools, Spanish is the primary language of instruction.

The primary medium of instruction in South Korea is Korean. South Korea is also good in tech. Leading tech company Samsung belongs to South Korea. 

Challenges in providing a quality education in mother tongue. 

With so many advantage, providing this is not a easy job to do. There are many challenges in providing a quality education in all medium.

1. Lack of quality teachers of local languages.

2. Lack of content as all good are not translated in all languages. 

3. Lack of standardized curriculum. 

4. Resistance to switch.

Tackling to these problems state should try to give education in mother tongue. There are many region of India where education are being given in regional language but they are far behind in terms of quality.
